About the Artist

I create realistic soft pastel portraits of animals and pets, inspired by my connection to animals and the natural world. I’m particularly interested in the details that make each subject unique—their expression, posture, gaze, and the subtle qualities that reveal something about who they are.

With more than 20 years of experience as a visual arts educator, drawing has been an important part of both my professional and artistic life. My goal is to create portraits that feel personal, thoughtful, and true to the animal.

Custom Animal & Pet Portraits

A portrait can preserve the qualities that make an animal special and the connection they hold in your life.

Working from your photographs, I create realistic soft pastel portraits with attention to expression, form, texture, and the details that make each animal distinctly themselves. Whether you’re celebrating a beloved companion or honoring a special memory, each portrait is thoughtfully created to reflect the animal you know and love.

"It’s so beautiful. My heart is so full I can’t even put it into words. It’s gorgeous. I’m speechless. Beyond words. You captured Red in a way that means more to us than I can express. I will treasure this portrait forever.”

Gary B.

"I first saw the portrait, I was completely overwhelmed. It was  so much like him that it brought all of those emotions right back. It means so much to us to have something that captures him and keeps his memory close."

Violetta

The portrait looks just like them! You really captured their personalities.
